Acoustic Mat System

Using the 3mm acoustic mat in conjunction with our special high bond Rewmar MS600 floor adhesive sausages or our P600 flexible adhesive in 600ml sausages, it is possible to achieve high levels of sound transmission reduction while securely bonding the hardwood floor to the substrate. 

This adhesive system is ideal when sound reduction is required for upstairs rooms and situations where the footfall noise transmission needs to be reduced.

The acoustic mat is manufactured using 3mm Polyolefin and the flexible PU adhesive which comes in 600ml sausages is designed to be applied to the pre-formed slots in the mat using an applicator gun. The guns form part of our accessory range.

In recognition of the demand for adhesive in sausage format we have introduced a flexible adhesive in 600ml sausage format for use with applicator guns. The sausage version of our wood flooring adhesive is available in two formats. MS600 which is based on our new MS technology making the adhesive both safe and easy to use or our Polyurethane version which is not as user friendly and requires more care during the installation process. The sausage versions have a higher bond strength and are designed specifically to cope with less adhesive coverage bonding the flooring to the ground. In all cases the adhesive is easy to work with, either in sausage form or trowelled as a fully bonded system.  The sausage format does not offer the same protection against moisture as the fully bonded product and care must be taken to ensure the residual moisture content of the substrate is below the recommended levels for wood flooring. Should the levels of moisture be too high we would recommend the use of our Rewmar MB liquid DPM system and the MS600 sausage format.
